Phnom Penh, August 2, 2025 – Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin on Friday afternoon, reaffirming Beijing’s strong support for Cambodia’s national sovereignty and development path.
“China will firmly support Cambodia in choosing a development path suited to its national conditions independently, in safeguarding its national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, as well as in playing a greater and more positive role in international and regional affairs,” he stated.
In a Facebook post on the morning of August 2, Ambassador Wang said the Chinese Embassy would provide USD 100,000 in humanitarian aid to support residents of the refugee camp at Wat Phnom Thma Kambor, located in Por Chas village, Khum Beng commune, Banteay Ampil district, Oddar Meanchey province. The aid aims to help improve the living conditions of people affected by the conflict.
“We hope the victims of the conflict will be able to return home soon,” the ambassador wrote.
